including Best in Show, at the second annual Creative Media Awards held
Monday, September 26. The campaign for ABC survival drama Lost nabbed the top
honors as well as awards in the Radio and Media Plan categories.
The unique campaign features S.O.S.-style media like pirated radio,
messages in bottles and missing person fliers, and caught the attention of
consumers to help drive the success of one of the most popular shows on
television. The agency's work for Lost was previously honored at the 2005
MediaWeek Media Plan of the Year Awards as overall Media Plan of the Year and
Best Use of Radio.
For its deprivation study that examines the way the Internet has
revolutionized its users' lives, OMD and Yahoo! won in the Research category,
while the green-friendly GE "Ecomagination" campaign garnered wins in the
Communications Channel Plan for the collaboration between OMD, GE and BBDO.
