    SEATTLE, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Regence BlueShield announced today its
 initial ratings assigned by the A.M. Best Co. Both Regence BlueShield and its
 subsidiary, RegenceCare, have been awarded A- ratings by the insurance rating
     In the A.M. Best rating structure, an A- rating means that Regence
 BlueShield has excellent financial strength. The rating report highlights
 Regence BlueShield's strong market profile, adequate capitalization, improved
 underwriting results and affiliation with The Regence Group.
