NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Renaissance Associates, Ltd., a leading provider of cutting edge investigative and digital forensic solutions to the legal, business and financial communities today announced the appointment of Luke Cats as Managing Director in their Garden City, NY office and Aaron Stanley as Managing Director in their San Francisco, CA office. In this role, they will manage the firm's digital forensics, eDiscovery, and incident response practices.

Prior to joining Renaissance Associates, Ltd., Mr. Cats held several leadership roles as Vice President and Director at other privately held consulting firms. He has led teams of digital forensic examiners in the investigations of stolen proprietary data, large-scale international electronic discovery efforts, and an SEC and insider trader investigation. He has also testified as a computer forensics expert before both State and Federal courts. Mr. Cats is a licensed Private Investigator in New York and New Jersey and a certified forensic examiner.

Prior to joining Renaissance Associates, Ltd., Mr. Stanley attended Fordham University School of Law, served as law clerk at Crosby & Higgins LLP, a New York City litigation boutique, and a summer associate at K&L Gates. Mr. Stanley has managed the development of a consulting firm's internal IT infrastructure and forensic technology platforms. He has led numerous digital forensics matters including investigating a multi-million dollar extortion attempt perpetrated on a major patent research firm, an investigation into a child pornography ring at a large entertainment company, and a bribery and fraud investigation for a multi-national bank. Mr. Stanley was also responsible for eDiscovery preparedness and response consulting and acquired data to support state and federal investigations as well as collections in response to litigation.
