Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York Presents 20 Scientific Abstracts at 2013 ASRM Conference
NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- NEW YORK, NEW YORK – (October 14, 2013) – Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, a Manhattan-based infertility clinic, will be presenting 20 abstracts at this year's ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) annual meeting taking place in Boston, Massachusetts starting October 12th through the 17th.
Among the research to be presented are new discoveries in the identification of biomarkers for female fertility, discoveries involving the motivations of female patients choosing to undergo elective oocyte cryopreservation and the consumption of alcohol and its potential relationship to infertility.
Whole Genome Sequencing for Female Infertility Biomarker Discovery will be presented as a poster [P013] as a part of the Female Reproductive Endocrinology session on Wednesday, October 16th from 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM. The study, conducted in partnership with Celmatix, Inc., by Dr. Piraye Yurttas Beim et al., examines the discovery of important prognostic biomarkers that could potentially be a powerful diagnostic tool in the treatment of infertility.
What Makes A Woman Freeze: The Impetus Behind Patients' Desires To Undergo Elective Oocyte Cryopreservation will be an oral presentation by Dr. Georgia Witkin, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist at RMA of New York and Assistant Professor in the Department of Reproductive Science and in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center. The presentation, by Dr. Georgia Witkin et al., will take place as a part of the Mental Health session on Monday, October 14th from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM.
Assisted Reproductive Registered Dietitian Assessment: Does Prior Alcohol Intake Affect A Woman's Cycle Outcome? will be presented as a poster [P-953] as a part of the Nutrition session on Thursday, October 17th. The study, by Dara Godfrey, MS RD, et al., will examine the effect of alcohol intake on the cycles of women undergoing infertility treatment.

Same Sex Female Couples Undergoing IVF With Their Partner's Eggs (Co-IVF): Pathways to Parenthood by Joseph Lee, B.A., et al., will be presented as an oral [O-222] on Tuesday, October 15th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Accurate Prediction Of The Number Of Cycles To Achieve Live Birth by Michael Elashoff, Ph.D., et al., in association with Celmatix, Inc., will be given as an oral presentation [O-460] as a part of the Assisted Reproductive Technologies session on Wednesday, October 16th from 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM.
The fifteen other posters and oral presentations will cover a range of topics in the field of reproductive medicine.
