Research Report: Trend Micro Offers All Security Components for Virtualization Security
Accompanying November 5th Webcast on 'Securing the Physical, Virtual, Cloud Continuum,' presented by Nemertes Research and Trend Micro
CUPERTINO, Calif., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprises are adopting virtualization at a swifter pace than ever before and Trend Micro offers all functions for virtualization security, according to an independent report by Nemertes Research.
The report examines key trends surrounding virtualization, how enterprises are implementing a virtual environment in relation to their overall security infrastructure, and how the roles of compliance and Defense-in-Depth are critical parts of an enterprise's virtualization security strategy.
In the report, Nemertes Research categorizes the majority of virtualization security vendors and Trend Micro covers all functional areas, including: Host based protection, anti-malware, virtual appliance, virtual zones, virtual infrastructure protection, VM lifecycle protection, log and patch management, and configuration management. No other vendor included in the report matches all functional areas.
Over 90 percent of organizations that participate in Nemertes benchmark research are adopting virtualization," said Ted Ritter, senior research analyst at Nemertes Research. "Increasing flexibility, agility and reducing environmental footprint are primary virtualization drivers. Yet, virtualization creates two major challenges for enterprise security teams: Meeting compliance requirements and maintaining defense-in-depth. Physical security products do not address these challenges and worse, they negate much of the primary benefits of virtualization. Fully addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive virtualization security solution."
Please join Ted Ritter, senior research analyst at Nemertes Research and Harish Agastya, director of product marketing at Trend Micro as they discuss the rise of virtualization and cloud computing and the impact this is having on security best practices and next-generation security technology.
