Residence Inn by Marriott Opens Newest Location In San Diego, California September 3, 1999

    SAN DIEGO, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Residence Inn by Marriott the leader in
 extended stay lodging, will open its newest hotel on September 3, 1999 in San
 Diego, California.
     The 150-Suite Sorrento Mesa Residence Inn is located in the heart of the
 Sorrento Mesa / Mira Mesa area.  The hotel's design in the newest generation
 of Residence Inn which incorporates a residential, home-like feel with several
 additional features to help the guest be more productive, flexible and
 comfortable.  Each guest room or "suite" has a fully equipped kitchen with
 full-sized appliances; coffee maker and microwave oven; living rooms area; and
 many suites have fireplaces.
     The hotel has one centralized building that contains studio and one-and
 two bedroom suites with interior corridor entrances.  The Gatehouse welcomes
 guests to the main reception area and front desk, management offices, and its
 equipped with a fitness room, meeting room, and large gathering area for a
 daily complimentary continental breakfast buffet.
     Recreational facilities at the Sorrento Mesa Residence Inn include an
 outdoor swimming pool, spa and SportCourt that can be use for volleyball,
 basketball and mini-tennis.  Monday through Thursday social events are hosted
 in the Gatehouse.  Opening room rates begin at $119.00 for a Studio or
 One-Bedroom Suite and decrease depending upon length of stay.
