on-premise beverage resource, today presented its coveted Cheers Editorial
Advisory Board Manufacturer Awards for 2004.
Winners of this year's awards, presented at the Cheers Beverage
Best Spirits Supplier - (tie) Allied Domecq, Bacardi, Diageo
Best Beer Supplier - Anheuser-Busch
Best Wine Supplier - Beringer
Best Non-Alcohol Supplier - Coca-Cola
Best Allied Supplier - Patrick Henry Creative Promotions
The winners were selected by a panel of top chain restaurant beverage
executives who are members of the Cheers magazine editorial advisory board.
The panel includes Stan Novack, VP, Adult Beverage Concepts, HMS/Host,
chairman; David Alphonse, director of beverage operations, Legal Seafood; Jim
Barnett, beverage director, Bennigan's; Marian Jansen op de Haar, director of
wine, Fleming's Restaurants; and Larry Varvella, director, beverage marketing
and development, Ground Round. The board strictly determined the awards with
no restriction based on conference support or magazine advertising.
"These awards are selected solely by the Cheers magazine editorial
advisory board, a highly respected group of restaurant beverage executives who
commit their advice and time to help us to be the best food service beverage
magazine we can," said Cheers editor Jack Robertiello. "Their work on this

The awards were a highlight of the annual Cheers Beverage Conference, held
this week in Irvine, CA.
