ResultsPlus for Statutes Searching Now Available on Westlaw

    EAGAN, Minn., March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Westlaw(R) now provides the
 industry's most complete and integrated tool for statutes research.  West, a
 Thomson business (NYSE:   TOC; Toronto), today announced that ResultsPlus, the
 powerful research assistance feature available only on Westlaw, has been
 expanded to statutes searches.  This new feature recommends additional
 relevant information resources, helping legal professionals quickly develop a
 thorough understanding of the issues they are researching.  "ResultsPlus
 pointed me to a helpful key number even when the search I ran didn't find any
 documents," said Heather Heath of Hughes, Watters, Askanase, LLP, in Houston.
     ResultsPlus, introduced to case law researchers in June 2003, points legal
 professionals to relevant articles from American Law Reports (ALR(R)) and
 American Jurisprudence (Am Jur(R)), and provides recommended key number
 queries to enhance the accuracy of research.  In 2004, West also added
 treatises as additional sources of information in ResultsPlus.  Currently five
 treatises are available on ResultsPlus -- American Jurisprudence Proof of
 Facts, American Jurisprudence Trials, Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice 2d,
 Immigration Law Service and Employment Coordinator -- and 15 more will be
 added in April.  Each of these additional sources gives legal professionals
 the assurance that their research and understanding of the legal issues
 involved in their case is complete.
