Richard Semmes Joins SmartBIM as Executive VP of Technology

ATLANTA, June 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- SmartBIM is pleased to announce the addition of Richard Semmes as Executive Vice President, responsible for all product related topics and activities. 

Mr. Semmes brings a breadth and depth of expertise in enterprise software and product lifecycle management that is ideally suited to lead the development, implementation, and support of SmartBIM products.

Prior to joining SmartBIM, Mr. Semmes was the Vice President of Solutions and Support for NovaQuest, a Dassault Systemes value-added reseller (VAR), where he was responsible for the product development, services and support organizations.    Mr. Semmes has also held various positions at Dassault Systemes including global responsibility for ENOVIA Solutions covering the Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, Industrial Equipment and Shipbuilding industries.

Prior to joining Dassault Systemes in 2000, Mr. Semmes held various positions at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company and was responsible for the deployment of Product Data Management (PDM) solutions. He also served as an Aerospace Engineer in the United States Air Force, Aeronautical Systems Division, supporting both the F22 and B2 programs.

Mr. Semmes holds an Aerospace and Ocean Engineering degree from Virginia Tech. He has authored various publications in the field of aerospace propulsion systems and computational fluid dynamics.
