WELLESLEY, Mass., May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Roche Bros. is expanding its Home Delivery service in Boston beginning May 5, 2014. Now residents living in the neighborhoods of Beacon Hill, Financial District, North End, West End, Fenway, Back Bay, South End, South Boston, Prudential, and Waterfront can now get Roche Bros. groceries delivered directly into their home kitchen.
Each order is hand-picked by personal shoppers trained to select only the best produce and other perishables. Known for its high quality and great local favorites, Roche Bros. has long been offering grocery delivery to the region's suburban areas. The new Boston service will include expanded delivery hours from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to accommodate busy urban lifestyles.
Roche Bros. Home Delivery service includes several features distinguishing the local market from internet grocers and other delivery services. For example, shoppers using Roche Bros. Home Delivery get the same price and selection as in-store shoppers, including all the same weekly specials, the ability to redeem paper coupons, and other in-store deals. Home Delivery service costs $9.95 per order, with no minimum or maximum order requirements nor fuel surcharges.
Customers place orders online to choose the products they want from Roche Bros. store shelves. For customers who cannot use a computer, Roche Bros. is happy to offer phone ordering for an additional $5. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., customers can call in their grocery order and speak to a local, trained Roche Bros. Home Delivery associate to place their order.
"We are thrilled to be expanding our delivery area to residents in the Boston neighborhoods, especially in advance of our new flagship store to open in Downtown Crossing," said Rick Roche, Co-owner and CEO of Roche Bros. "This is a great way for our neighbors to get to know us. We've been a part of the community since our Roslindale store opened in 1952, but this is the first time we've offered our Home Delivery program to our future neighbors downtown."
All Roche Bros. personal shoppers sign a "pickers pledge" attached to each order, indicating their promise to pick the customer's order just like they would for their own family.
Further, unlike other grocery delivery services, Roche Bros. deliveries are made in climate controlled trucks with separate compartments for refrigerated and frozen items, meaning customers enjoy better food preservation quality than they could get on their own.
Drivers will carry groceries directly to the customer's kitchen, even if that means going up several flights of stairs – just another way Roche Bros. Home Delivery brings the signature services of their stores into customer homes.
Roche Bros. is offering a special promotion for first-time customers in the Boston area. Visit https://shop.rochebros.com and enter BOSTON14 at checkout for a free delivery for new Boston customers, with no minimum purchase.
