ALPHARETTA, Ga., March 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Rod and Leslie Aycox Family Foundation, LoanMax and its affiliated companies support the 42nd NAACP Image Awards as a Primary Sponsor of the annual event.  The NAACP Image Awards broadcast serves as the nation's premier event celebrating the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts as well as those who promote social justice.    

There are 53 competitive categories in the fields of motion picture, television, music and literature.  LL Cool J, Vanessa Williams, Halle Berry, Denzel Washington and The Black Eyed Peas were amongst the nominees.  

The hosts of the star-studded evening were Holly Robinson Peete and Wayne Brady.  Receiving honorary awards was Surgeon General Regina M. Benjamin, M.D., M.B.A. and General Colin Powell (Ret.).
