Rodney started 2004 off with rave reviews for his Gospel hit "You Don't Know" performed by daughter of the legendary Clark Sister Kierra Sheard, which crossed over into the Pop R&B market with great impact. At the close of 2004, he is accredited for bringing back to the forefront Destiny's Child with the Cutting Edge Hit song "Lose My Breath," despite all the nay-sayers of a Destiny's Child come-back. He and his team also wrote and produced "Don't Talk About It, Be About It," and "Cater 2 U" (which Rodney and one of his Darkchild songwriters/producers Rick Lewis are currently co-nominees), for their Multi-Platinum Destiny Fulfilled album. Immediately after, Rodney's string of success continued as 2005 kicked off with an incredible start. Rodney Jerkins won the most prestigious Dove Award for "You Don't Know" performed by Kierra Sheard. This award is the highest honor in Gospel Music.
