Rolls-Royce Names Gill Vice President - Human Resources

    CHANTILLY, Va., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Rolls-Royce today announced the
 appointment of John W. Gill as Vice President - Human Resources, Rolls-Royce
 North America Inc., effective July 2nd, 2001.
     As Vice President - Human Resources, Gill will join the senior management
 team and work to align Rolls-Royce North American based activities to achieve
 corporate objectives.  He will also lead the human resources functions and
 establish human resources policies across more than 65 business sites in North
     In this position, Gill will report directly to James M. Guyette, President
 and CEO, Rolls-Royce North America Inc., and also be accountable to John
 Rivers, Director - Human Resources, Rolls-Royce plc.  He will be based in the
 company's headquarters in Chantilly, VA.
     Gill joins Rolls-Royce with over two decades of human resources
 experience.  He has held a number of increasingly senior positions within the
 aircraft manufacturing industry, his most recent being Business Area Vice
 President, People and Organization Services, Aeronautics for the Lockheed
 Martin Corporation.
     John was awarded a Master of Business Administration in 1984 by Florida
 Technical University and graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of
 Arts in 1975.  He is married with two teenage children.
