Romarco drills 21 m of 4.9 g/t, 9 m of 13.4 g/t gold

 

TORONTO, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSXV: R) (the "Company") is pleased to provide an update of recent assay results from the on-going drill program at the Haile Gold Mine, in South Carolina. The interim results of the 2009 drill campaign demonstrate that step-out drilling continues to identify additional gold mineralization at Haile and that the mineralized zone remains open in all directions and at depth. Select drill result highlights are in the table below with full interim drill results in the table following. Holes with an asterisk denote they were not included in the recently announced October 2009 resource update.

A complete listing of all interim drill hole results are summarized in the table below - holes with an asterisk indicated they were not included in the recently announced October 2009 resource update. Most of the holes are step-out holes designed to determine the extent of the mineralized zones at Haile. The reported interval thickness is the down hole thickness and may not be the true thickness, although the drill holes generally deflect perpendicular to the rock fabric and the reported thickness should be close to the true thickness.

Romarco currently has five drill rigs at the Haile mine. The current drill program is designed to identify additional resources and convert resources into proven and probable reserves across the entire mine property. The reverse circulation drilling is being performed by Boart Longyear and Romarco's company owned drill. Core drilling is being performed by Connors drilling. The drill samples are being assayed by Alaska Assay Labs in Fairbanks, AK. Blank samples as well as third party standards were submitted with all of the drill holes. The control sample results were within acceptable ranges within and adjacent to the mineralized zones.
