Ruder Finn/D.C. Hires John Doyle as Senior Vice President

Top Executive to Lead Agency's Coalition-Based Public Affairs Programming

WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of naming Neil Dhillon
as Managing Director in its Washington D.C. office, Ruder Finn announced
today the appointment of John Doyle, as senior vice president in
Washington. Doyle will direct the agency's public policy communications
group and report directly to Dhillon.
Prior to joining Ruder Finn, Doyle was senior vice president for Berman
and Company, a marketing, research and communications firm with strong ties
to the hospitality, retail and food and beverage industries. A former
newspaper reporter, Doyle brings two decades of public affairs and public
policy communications experience to Ruder Finn. He has served as executive
director of the American Beverage Institute, a restaurant and beverage
industry trade association, and was managing director of the Employment
Policies Institute, a non-profit think tank specializing in labor policy.
Doyle also co-founded the Center for Consumer Freedom. He also held the
position of Director of Communications for the American Trucking
 Associations.
"John is an experienced, highly-regarded expert in the world of
grassroots and coalition development, and we are thrilled that he has
joined the Ruder Finn team to add these essential elements to our global
offering," said Dhillon. "There will be many controversial policy issues
during and after 2007 and many companies and trade associations will want
to unite and forge coalitions to best confront and win the policy battle in
their favor. John is simply the best in the industry in devising and
executing these coalitions in winning fashion, so we are obviously
delighted that he is on our side of the field," added Dhillon.
Doyle will help expand the public policy communications group, building
on the firm's strong healthcare, corporate technology,
institutional/non-profit and marketing practices. He will develop the
firm's coalition-based public affairs programs, public policy
 communications capabilities, and grassroots networks.
"The Ruder Finn Washington office is continuing to add top talent and
personnel for the benefit of all our global clients," said Richard Funess,
president, Ruder Finn/Americas. "Adding John Doyle today, coupled with Neil
Dhillon's recent announcement as head of the Washington office, clearly
reinforces our strong intentions of offering full service public affairs
and public relations capabilities to our diverse set of clients," added
 Funess.
Doyle holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in journalism from California
 State University Fresno.
