Ruth's Chris Steak House Earns a Record 29 'Awards of Excellence'

    METAIRIE, La., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruth's Chris Steak House today was
 honored with 29 of Wine Spectator Magazine's highly coveted Awards of
 Excellence.  The prestigious award recognizes the world's finest restaurants
 for wine offerings which feature more than 500 selections, exhibit depth of
 mature vintages and are in harmony with the menu.
     "I am always striving to offer my guests the finest dining experience in
 the world.  Now, to be recognized twenty nine times for our excellent wine
 list, it's truly a great honor," stated Ruth Fertel, Founder and Chairperson

 receive a record 29 'Awards of Excellence' from Wine Spectator, it has been

     In its 1998 Dining Guide issue, Wine Spectator honored restaurants in
 35 countries for their dedication to outstanding wine selections.  This year,
 Wine Spectator received wine lists from more than 2,000 restaurants before
 making its final selections.  Ruth's Chris Steak House received 29 Awards of
 Excellence, far outpacing its nearest competitor who received six.
