Ruth's Chris Steak House Names William L. Hyde, President and Chief Executive Officer

    METAIRIE, La., Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruth's Chris Steak House, today
 announced the appointment of William L. Hyde, Jr., to the position of
 President and Chief Executive Officer of the 60 unit upscale restaurant group.
 Mr. Hyde will assume the position currently held by the company's Chairperson
 and Founder, Ruth Fertel.
     In making the announcement, Ms. Fertel stated, "Bill Hyde is a restaurant
 industry veteran who has proven himself to be a leader and motivator of
 people.  We are pleased that he has accepted this challenging position."  Ms.

     Mr. Hyde comes to Ruth's Chris Steak House with more than 25 years of
 restaurant industry experience, most recently serving as President and Chief
 Operating Officer of Morton's Restaurant Group.
