Both Shelby and the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca have had quite the career together as Shelby was an avid participant during the formative years of the then Laguna Seca. It was actually at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, where Shelby drove his final race of his career where he ended up clinching the 1960 USAC Sports Car Championship.
