SAND Secures $1M+ State Government Order
Leading Systems Integrator to Use SAND Analytic Server for Both Designing
And Hosting Financial Analysis and Reporting Application
MONTREAL, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
SAND Technology(TM) (Nasdaq: SNDT) today announced it has secured an order in
excess of CAD$1M for a SAND Analytic Server system to be used by a US State
government agency.
The system forms part of a large-scale data warehouse project managed by a
major systems integrator who has been contracted to help the State manage its
finances. The SAND Analytic Server will fill two critical roles. Initially, it
will be used as a prototyping and design tool to access data from multiple
systems, assess its quality and suitability, and prepare it for loading into
the warehouse and for distribution to other target systems. It will also
provide an initial reporting infrastructure so that the project can begin to
deliver business results even before the warehouse is completed. Subsequently,
it will be used as the application platform to stage data extracts from the
warehouse for analysis and reporting by State workers.
"We are very pleased that once again the SAND Analytic Server has been
chosen by a major government agency for a business-critical project," said
SAND executive vice president Jerry Shattner. "We are also pleased that a
leading systems integrator has recognized the SAND Analytic Server as the best
platform for delivering rapid business results to their client in the short
term and the most cost-effective analytic environment for long-term
deployment."
