contract manufacturing, today announced further enhancements to its
world-class fiber optics assembly and test capabilities. The expanded service
offering marks the achievement of a major milestone in Sanmina's multi-year
program to provide end-to-end fiber optic design and manufacturing solutions
to its global customers.

Sanmina's full range of fiber optic manufacturing solutions includes
assembly and test of high-end optical components, modules and sub-systems in a
modular clean room environment; ultra-fine and angled fiber polishing; sleeve
protection or recoating of splices, splice optimization of SMF, MM, PM and
Erbium fibers, connector termination for single and ribbon fibers; and fiber
management using fiber trays, wheels and clips. Additional capabilities
include surface mount assembly of sensitive optical amplifiers, transceivers,
and similar devices; and optical testing using Optical Spectrum Analyzer,
Attenuator, Wavemeter, Sonet Analyzer, Optical TDR, Tunable Laser,
Polarization Analyzer, and other custom test equipment. The company also works
