WALLDORF, Germany, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP announced another new business solution that has been produced from the SAP Co-Innovation Lab in Bangalore, India. Wipro Technologies Ltd. has worked jointly with developers at the lab to create a new business intelligence (BI) solution to specifically benefit the insurance industry. The solution is publically available via SAP® EcoHub.

The insurance claims analytics (ICA) solution was developed at the lab within only a few months. Wipro sought to build upon it further after identifying a lingering pain point within claims departments--claims costs globally are rising above the national rates of inflation due to fraud and litigation, as well as rising medical and body shop costs. With this in mind, Wipro worked to add to the integrated BI offering for property and casualty (P&C) insurance carriers.
