Schoor DePalma Changes Its Name to 'CMX'
Rebranding Initiative Reflects Recent Acquisitions, Integrated Services and
A Growing National Presence
MANALAPAN, N.J., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Schoor DePalma, a premier
engineering and consulting firm headquartered in New Jersey with a growing
presence nationally, today announced it is changing its name to "CMX,"
effective immediately. The company's new tagline is "Working Together for a
Better Tomorrow." The new name will replace the former Schoor DePalma brand
and will be assumed by all of the company's subsidiaries, including Damiano
Long and Advantage Engineering, which until now had retained their names.
The new web site address for the entire company is www.cmxengineering.com.
Since the fall of 2005, the company has purchased three engineering
firms: Harrisburg, PA-based Advantage Engineering (August 2006); Phoenix,
AZ-based CMX (May 2006); and Camden County, NJ-based Damiano Long
(September 2005). Although each of the four companies has established its
own respective reputation at both the national and regional levels, the
individual brands did not reflect the true capabilities of the collective
services available, hence the rebranding of the entire company to CMX. The
rebranding is in line with the company's drive to offer its complete suite
of services to national clients facing complex challenges.
In announcing the rebranding initiative, CMX Chief Executive Officer
George McCann said: "In the past two years our firm has grown
geographically and significantly expanded its capabilities to the point
where we can now service clients on a national level. Rebranding the
company to CMX will help position us in the marketplace as a national firm.
At the same time, a single national brand also provides our staff with a
unified vision of our mission, our core values and our commitment to client
service."
CMX provides a wide range of services for land development, public
works, environmental management, building services, sports engineering,
transportation, and telecommunications. The firm has more than 1,000
professionals located in 25 offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York,
Maryland, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, and Mexico, serving private and public
sector clients. CMX currently is ranked 71 in Engineering News-Record's Top
500 Design Firms in the nation. CMX is headquartered in Manalapan, NJ. For
