Sebastiani's 4th Generation Family Member, Marc Cuneo, Promoted to Vice President of Vineyard Operations & Grower Relations

    SONOMA, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery
 named Marc Cuneo as Vice President of Vineyard Operations, effective January
 2006. Son of Sebastiani's CEO, Mary Ann Sebastiani Cuneo, and Chairman,
 Richard Cuneo, Marc Cuneo has been working at the winery since the 2000
 harvest. Executive Vice President of Winery Operations, Paul Bergna, is
 excited about the announcement. "Marc is devoted to the winery and works very
 hard; this is a much deserved promotion, and we are all proud of him," Bergna

     Marc Cuneo is an integral part of the marketing and winemaking team; the
 energetic and adventurous 29-year-old is Sebastiani's fourth generation to
 assume a leadership role within the family-owned winery and a prime motivator
 behind the company's recent and ongoing shift into premium wines from Sonoma
 County. "Ever since we scaled-down production and became a single-brand winery
 focusing only on wines from Sonoma County, we are totally committed to quality
 and value, and our efforts are being recognized worldwide," states Marc. "Our

 declassification system and deliver great bottles of wine, vintage after
 vintage."
     Marc Cuneo grew up playing in the vineyards, working in the tasting room,
 plucking weeds from beneath the vines. Cuneo received a Bachelors degree in
 business from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and
 studied winemaking and viticulture at UC Davis. After working on the bottling
 line and in the tasting room at Sebastiani, as well as a sales rep for
 Southern Wines & Spirits, he joined the family business full time as a crush
 enologist for the 2000 vintage.
     Now, as Vice President of Vineyard Operations, Cuneo will take a more
 active role in managing the family's 700 vineyard acres and working closely
 with Sebastiani's contract growers to enhance the quality of the grapes. He
 will continue his sales and marketing role, traveling extensively throughout
 the country attending wine shows, tastings, hosting seminars and dinners and
 calling on key accounts.
     An ardent outdoorsman and triathlete, Cuneo is active in the National
 Outdoor Leadership Society and regularly pushes his limits in skiing,
 backpacking, fishing and rock climbing, as well as mountain climbing in the
 high Sierras. He is also involved in the wine business on his own time,
 tending 20 acres of his own pinot noir and chardonnay grapes in private plots
 near Carneros, as well as maintaining memberships in the American Society for
 Enology and Viticulture, Sonoma County Vintners and the Sonoma Valley Vintners
 & Growers Alliance.
