Business Continuity Plan Includes Employee Education, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The nation's leading security solutions provider, G4S Wackenhut, continues its proactive measures to keep employees healthy by releasing a video guide to flu prevention and safety. This update, targeted at the company's 40,000 security personnel across the country, addresses H1N1 and seasonal flu symptoms, proper precautions, as well as business continuity plans. G4S Wackenhut began taking steps to prepare its employees and clients when novel "H1N1" influenza was first recognized in April 2009. Since then, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a pandemic in June 2009 and President Obama declared a national emergency in October 2009.

According to Chuck Brock, G4S Wackenhut's Vice President of Strategic Account Operations, vigilance is key to the company's regular business contingency planning, stating, "Our clients depend on us to protect their facilities, products and employees, so our team actively plans for any contingency, including the public health emergency our country is facing today."

Overseeing pandemic contingency planning for G4S Wackenhut is Director of Safety and Health, Frank Knapfel.
