To celebrate upgrades, Self Salon offers 20 percent off services

NEW YORK, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Self Salon, a hair and beauty salon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn has revamped its space, Web site and services, and welcomed two new stylists to better meet the beauty needs of the ever-evolving Williamsburg community and appeal to Manhattan residents. Barca decided to reinvent Self Salon earlier this year, when the economy took a turn for the worst. In an effort to provide a relaxing setting for her clients during these stressful times, Maria remodeled the space giving it a modern, airy yet welcoming feel. Accessed via the "menu" tab, Self's menu appeals to diverse Williamsburg by offering services ranging from single-process color and natural-looking balayage highlights to edgy, fashion- forward peek-a-boo highlights and glamorous eyelash extensions.

For the bride-to-be, Self features both in-salon and on-site bridal services. Services include an initial hair style and make-up service consultation for the bride, practice sessions, and wedding-day hair and make-up styling either in the salon or at the wedding site for the entire bridal party. Self Salon's menu also features its "Beautiful Bride" planner, which guides a bride through hair and make-up concerns from six or more months before the event to her wedding day.

The Web site also includes specials available every week, descriptions of the products Self carries, a gallery page and information on the salon's owner and stylists including new team members, Jeffrey D. BoyEs and Chinatsu Ukai. BoyEs, a Devachan certified stylist, specializes in curly hair textures while Ukai excels in wedding styling.
