Sensational Ignite-U Event Featured Ona Brown

LAKEWOOD, Wash., Aug. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ --  Ignite-U announced that their August 15, 2012 event featuring Ona Brown was a sensational hit with over 350 in attendance at the Great American Casino in Lakewood, WA.

Approximately 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, the lights were lowered and music began to play. 350 people found their seats and went quiet with anticipation. The second Ignite-U event of the year kicked off with world class sound and lighting. Sponsor names were spotlighted on the walls one by one as a tribute to their support of Ignite-U. To the founders of Ignite-U, Kieran and Sherri Murry . sponsors are more than advertisers since they are supporting events to help everyone play a bigger game, make an improvement in business, have a big idea, take action and make a difference or as they say: "Throw rocks."

The first speaker was Chris Caillier who shared an emotional personal story about having a goal to help people in Somalia, Africa and neighboring countries . As a result of the Ignite-U event he attended in March where Ronnie Doss spoke on "How to Enroll Others into Your Vision," Chris committed to flying to Africa with the goal of helping families survive in the worst conditions. Chris spent several months in Africa with his video camera and raised funds for families using Facebook and social media.

Next on the stage were the founders of Ignite-U, Kieran and Sherri Murry . Kieran and Sherri Murry engaged the crowd in a personal conversation style and Kieran asks "What if..."  After the story by Chris, Kieran admits that at one time he thought "It's all about helping small business owners." After hearing many stories similar to Chris's, he began to realize that it doesn't matter if it's for your business, your community, or your family; that one big idea can save your marriage, start a new venture, or take you halfway across the world. Everyone and anyone has an opportunity to "Throw rocks" and make a difference. He wants to see everyone throw more rocks and watch the ripples.

Kieran then introduced Ona Brown who was the featured speaker: "When Seasons Change - Go from surviving to thriving in a challenging economy."

From the very first moment Ona Brown made an impression on the large crowd. Ona Brown was dynamic, engaging and full of energy. Her focus was on the individual. After the good nights are said, the lights again brightened the room, there was no rush to the exits.  Instead people were lingering, shaking hands with warm smiles and throughout the room almost everyone was more interested in engaging with others than finding an exit.

The next event is an Ignite-U Business Expo at the Emerald Queen Casino on September 13th. There will be live music by Folsom Prism food and refreshments.
