The 2009 rankings were recently announced in Hershey, PA and convenience retail chain Sheetz was listed at number 25 on the list of top 50 large companies. This is the 8th consecutive year Sheetz has received this honor.

The convenience store chain known for its award-winning food, innovative technology, and excellent customer service is once again the number one restaurant and service retailer to make the list.

The Best Places to Work in PA program is designed to help companies improve their workplace practices in order to attract and retain the best employees possible. This is all in an effort to help these companies maintain a successful business.

The program is open to all publicly or privately held organizations whether for-profit or non-profit. The companies must have a facility in Pennsylvania, have at least 25 employees in the state and be in good standing with all Commonwealth agencies under the governor's jurisdiction.

The assessment process is comprised of a two-part survey in which employees are asked to evaluate their workplace experience and the employer is asked to describe its company benefits, policies and practices along with other information.

This provides the Best Companies group with in-depth analysis of the strengths and opportunities that exist to build a better workplace.
