NEW YORK, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Shriners Hospitals for Children will hold
2 orthopaedic outreach clinics in the New York area. The first clinic will be
held in cooperation with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City on
Saturday, May 19, 2001. The clinic site is the Hospital for Special Surgery,
535 East 70th Street (between York Avenue and the FDR Drive).
Shriners Hospitals' second orthopaedic clinic will be held in cooperation
with Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY on Wednesday, June 6, 2001. The
clinic site is Montefiore Medical Center, 3400 Bainbridge St., 6th Floor,
orthopaedic department, Bronx, NY. An orthopaedic doctor from Shriners
Hospitals will be on-site evaluating and treating patients at both outreach
Both outreach clinics are free of charge. They are open to all children
under 18 years of age regardless of race, religion, financial status or
relationship to a Shriner. Any child who has an orthopaedic problem is
eligible for examination and treatment. Advance appointments are required.
