Siemens Enterprise Communications Appoints Denzil Samuels as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances
30-Year Communications Industry Veteran Reinforces SEN Group's Commitment to Channel
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens Enterprise Communications Group (SEN Group), a premier provider of enterprise communications solutions, today furthered its commitment to its global channel with the appointment of Denzil Samuels as senior vice president of worldwide channels and alliances. This is a further proof point of the company's ongoing efforts this year to move to a more channel-centric approach, which includes a new partner program with GoForward and new services offerings. During his short tenure with the company, Samuels has already been instrumental in resetting the company's indirect strategy and is working to bring on board major distributors and channel partners such as Netlink and Westcon, among others.
With a significant telecommunications, sales and channels background, Samuels joins SEN Group with 30 years of extensive IT business communications experience. Most recently, Samuels served as the vice president of global business development for Northrop Grumman, one of the world's premier providers of advanced IT engineering and business solutions for government. Prior to that, he led global managed services and service provider divisions at Avaya.
"Samuels is a dedicated leader with a proven track record of growth, profitability and success," said Mark Vayda, president of worldwide sales at SEN Group. "With his global channel and services expertise, he is the ideal person to drive the SEN Group global indirect business -- forging key strategies and relationships with partners, resellers and distributors worldwide."
As senior vice president of worldwide channels and alliances, Samuels will be instrumental in furthering the SEN Group's presence within the indirect sales market. He will lead the company's worldwide channel sales organization by developing strategies and programs and driving execution and communication with the SEN Group's global systems integrators, service providers, distributors, value added resellers and solutions providers. With leadership positions in Latin America and Europe, Samuels will be particularly focused on helping to build the company's North American channel presence.
"SEN Group is the leader in enterprise communications and VoIP globally, and I am thrilled to be on board," said Samuels. "I am anxious to grow and scale the company's success further by pushing forth solid channel strategies, solidifying relationships, building our partner base and helping to deliver a holistic approach to the customer."
Prior to Avaya, Samuels also served as senior vice president of products and services at Qwest Cyber Solutions, which included Web hosting, application services, professional services, security and disaster recovery. In addition, Samuels held senior positions at Level 3 Communications, Inc. and IT management positions at Lucent Technologies, Galileo International and British Airways.
Samuels has a Higher National Diploma in electronic engineering from London's Southhall College of Technology and an honorary Ph.D. in technology management from the Colorado Technical University.
