Simon & Schuster purchases WALLBANGER and THE REDHEAD SERIES by Alice Clayton from Omnific Publishing at auction in a major deal

DALLAS, Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Simon & Schuster has acquired rights to publish four of USA Today bestselling author Alice Clayton 's incredibly popular books WALLBANGER and THE REDHEAD SERIES, at auction in a four-book deal on behalf of Omnific Publishing. The major deal was facilitated by Pamela Harty of The Knight Agency.

All of the titles were purchased for Simon & Schuster's Gallery imprint by Senior Editor Micki Nuding and will be published in e-book and trade paperback formats.  The digital release is to occur immediately, with print release to follow in the next few months. World and audio rights were also acquired by Gallery. The deal came about after months of dynamic sales in both digital and print outlets, with the titles consistently staying in the Amazon Top 100, and over 150,000 copies sold to date. In addition, Michelle Weiner of CAA is representing the film/television rights to WALLBANGER. She has already fielded multiple inquiries, the title generating significant Hollywood buzz among highly sought after screenwriters and producers.
