"We are honored these six hospital leaders are serving in an advisory role to aid in the growth of our national awards program," said Bob Schlotman, Chief Marketing Officer with Jackson Healthcare. "Each has actively participated in our program over the years and embodies the spirit and goals of the program."
Established in 2010, the Hospital Charitable Services Awards honors hospital-sponsored community benefit and outreach programs that impact communities through education, access and delivery. It was established around two goals. First, to raise the level of hospital charitable services in the U.S. Second, to reward and recognize hospital outreach programs with measurable impact.
"We want to recognize hospitals whose commitment to their community—whether defined locally, regionally or nationally—has led to innovative, sustainable and collaborative efforts to improve community health and increase access to healthcare education and services," said Schlotman.
All six advisory board members lead programs that have been past Hospital Charitable Services Award winners. Now in its fourth season, nominations are being accepted through Friday, August 23, 2013.
