SkySpark® Analytics Deployments Pass 4000 Sites and 225 Million Square Feet
RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- SkyFoundry announced today that it had achieved a major milestone, with its SkySpark analytics software now deployed to over 4000 buildings consisting of over 225M square feet.
Originally released to the market in October of 2010, SkySpark has seen rapid market adoption and become recognized as an industry-leading analytics solution in the intelligent buildings market. The software automatically analyzes data from smart devices and equipment systems to identify issues and opportunities for improved performance resulting in reduced operating costs. It is used in energy management, equipment systems optimization, monitoring-based commissioning and fault detection.
"The rapid growth is a testament not only to the incredible value that SkySpark analytics brings to building owners, but also to the capability and effectiveness of our worldwide partner channel now with over 60 resellers worldwide. The combination of SkySpark's advanced analytics technology, combined with the expertise and commitment of our worldwide network of partners, continues to deliver outstanding results, helping owners and operators of facilities identify operational issues, energy waste and opportunities for savings", said John Petze, Principal at SkyFoundry.
One of SkyFoundry's major wins in 2012 was the GSA Building Link project, under which the GSA is connecting building management systems to a central cloud-based platform, to improve efficiency and save up to $15 million in taxpayer dollars annually. The contract for the Building Link project was awarded to IBM and includes Environmental Systems, Inc. (ESI), a SkyFoundry reseller as a solution partner. The solution partners work with Intelligent Buildings, LLC (IntelligentBuildings®), which acts as owner's representative for the GSA. The contract is for the development and installation of advanced smart building technology in 50 of the federal government's highest energy-consuming buildings.
