SkyWest, Inc. Reports Combined December 2011 Traffic for SkyWest Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines
ST. GEORGE, Utah, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW) ("SkyWest") reported a 3.8 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for December, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 2.6 percent compared to December 2010. The combined airlines generated 2.40 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.06 billion. Passenger boardings for December increased 1.9 percent to 4,552,494 compared to 4,466,253 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a .4 percent increase in departures to 114,513 for December compared to 114,102 for the same period last year. Load factor was 78.5 percent compared to 77.6 percent, up .9 percentage points compared to December 2010.
