SOCMA Re-elects David Hurder as Board of Governors Chairman
Five New Members Join Board
WASHINGTON, Dec. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) is pleased to announce that David Hurder, Vice President of McGean, was re-elected as chairman of SOCMA's Board of Governors during the association's 91st Annual Business Meeting today in New York.

SOCMA members also re-elected the following slate of officers to the Board of Governors for one-year terms:
- Vice Chairman – David DeCuir, Albemarle
- Vice Chairman and Treasurer – Steel Hutchinson, GFS Chemicals
- Secretary – Susan Ostrowski, DSM
- Immediate Past Chair – Dr. Larry Brotherton, Ortec
Additionally, the following SOCMA members were elected to serve one to three-year terms:

- Kate Donahue – Hampford Research
- David Fortune – KMCO
- Daniele Piergentili – BASF
