NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Sopranos star and Rutgers
graduate, James Gandolfini and his longtime Rutgers buddies are at it again.
After a very successful TV commercial in 2001 promoting Rutgers football
head coach Greg Schiano and his Scarlet Knights, Jim Gandolfini and his
friends, Mark Ohlstein, Vito Bellino, and Tom Richardson, have just wrapped-up
 the second TV commercial.
In this year's commercial, entitled "Horse Head," Gandolfini promises his
three college pals, who all hail from the Garden State, that they will have
great seats at Rutgers Stadium for a Rutgers football game, "Close, real
close," says Gandolfini. The three ask Gandolfini numerous times what he had
to do to secure the seats and he answers, "Me, nothing."
When the four arrive at the end of the tunnel and step onto the field, the
friends cannot believe how Gandolfini pulled it off and how close they are to
the action. Moments later the three friends are holding the Scarlet Knight
mascot costume along with that of a horse. Not too happy, Ohlstein ends the
commercial holding the knights head and sarcastically says, "Close, real
"We really enjoyed filming another commercial," said Ohlstein. "The four
of us don't get many opportunities to be back on campus together. This
commercial allowed us to relive old times while giving back to our Alma Mater
and Rutgers football. We are all very excited about the direction Coach Greg
Schiano is taking the Rutgers football program."
The Scarlet Knights and Greg Schiano open up the 2002 season versus
Villanova on Saturday, August 31st at Rutgers Stadium. Rutgers returns
seventeen starters from last year's squad including pre-season All-BIG EAST
 tight end, L. J. Smith.
"Horse Head" will begin airing on Monday, August 5th on cable stations
throughout New Jersey. The commercial was created by DKB & Partners, a New
Jersey advertising agency. Michael Imperioli who plays Christopher Moltisanti
on "The Sopranos," directed the 30-second spot for Perretti Productions. Last
year, Mr. Imperioli directed the first 30-second spot featuring Gandolfini and
 friends, entitled, "The Fan."
