"David is a true veteran in the online software market, bringing a significant amount of leadership and technology sales management experience in the North American market to SOS. We are pleased to have him on our team and are excited by the plans he has already put into action," commented Ken Shaw, Chief Technology Officer of SOS Online Backup. "Our 2009 global growth plans are aggressive, and we anticipate the new US office will play a very important role in helping SOS to meet and exceed its sales goals throughout North America."
SOS Online Backup saw a rapid expansion in the sales and integration of its online and local data backup solution during the past year. The company has experienced a four-fold increase in global sales and expanded distribution through more than 300 resellers.
"Expanding our sales headquarters on the west coast is a timely investment that positions the company for accelerated growth and will raise its profile in the consumer and small business online backup industry," said Shaw. "The momentum in the online backup market continues to grow despite the worldwide economic recession and we have seen the demand for our services expand as consumers and small businesses have realized the absolute necessity of securing and protecting vital personal and business information."
