About the Recoveries:
Stolen Suzuki Found in Mobile Home; Leads to Chop Shop
After a LoJack-equipped 2008 Suzuki GSZR-600 was reported stolen on Tuesday, December 15, an officer with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Department began following the LoJack signal emitting from the motorcycle. The Police Tracking Computer led him to an abandoned doublewide mobile home. Inside the home, the officers found the stolen, undamaged Suzuki along with six motorcycle frames. The chop shop is under investigation and several arrests are expected.
Stolen Kawasaki Leads Officials to Chop Shop
In this recovery, a LoJack-equipped 2006 Kawasaki ZX-1000 was reported stolen in Charleston on Monday, December 7. Officers from the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the North Charleston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal and tracked the stolen Kawasaki to a residence in rural Charleston County. The officers located the undamaged motorcycle and discovered a chop shop in the process. In addition to the stolen Kawasaki, officers recovered a stolen backhoe; two stolen flatbed trailers; two stolen boats and their respective trailers; two stolen ATVs; and a stolen 2008 Dodge Charger. Three suspects were arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
