South Texas Money Management Named Among Top Wealth Managers by Wealth Manager Magazine
SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- South Texas Money Management was ranked among the Top Wealth Managers in Wealth Manager Magazine in their 2009 survey. This is the publication's 9th annual survey, formerly called the "Top Dogs." There are 407 managers listed and South Texas Money Management placed 171. The ranking is based on average assets under management per client and appears in the July/August issue. The full ranking and report can be found at www.wealthmanagerweb.com.
Participating firms were required to provide up to six years of data and they represented firms from all over the United States. Writer Kathleen McBride said, "Wealth Managers and their clients have come through the most wrenching financial storm that most people can fathom, while at the same time the world has seen some of the largest and most outrageous swindles of all time exposed."
"We are glad to have such a tumultuous time behind us and pleased to be ranked in this survey," said Jeanie Wyatt, CFA, CEO & Chief Investment Officer of South Texas Money Management. "Our focus and broad investment diversification helped us to weather the storm. The markets and the global economy appear to be stabilizing. We've all learned from this. Mainly the value of trust and communication has been key as well as sticking with your investment disciplines. I believe our clients appreciated all those things. It was a very challenging period (the 2008-2009 recession), but it also provided the opportunity that might not have existed otherwise. I feel that we are going to emerge from this period as a stronger firm."
