MONTREAL, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ - Speedware Ltd., a leading provider of IT modernization solutions, today announced the successful completion of an IBM mainframe-to-Windows migration project for its customer, Connecticut-based Yale New Haven Health System. The project involved re-hosting a portion of the company's mainframe applications on a Windows environment.

In order to reduce operational costs, Yale New Haven had decided to modernize its legacy mainframe systems. As part of Yale New Haven's migration initiative, Speedware re-hosted a collection of disparate applications and databases onto a smaller and less expensive platform. Speedware utilized XFRAME, an automated re-hosting software tool, to carry out this low-risk transition solution. This project represented the first time a North American organization's mainframe applications were re-hosted using the XFRAME product. From the start through to implementation, the project took only 13 weeks to complete.
