NEW YORK, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Springboard Enterprises today announced it has selected Xicat Interactive as one of the 25 women-led companies that will present their businesses at "Springboard 2001: New York," a venture capital forum showcasing women-led high-growth businesses. The forum is hosted by Springboard Enterprises, JP Morgan Partners, Quetzal/JP Morgan Partners and the Flatiron Foundation. Presenting companies were chosen from a field of over 300 applicants by a committee of the area's leading venture capitalists and service providers. The forum showcases 25 women seeking seed, early and later stage funding for their high-growth businesses. Presenting companies are primarily headquartered throughout the New York tri-state area with Xicat Interactive being one the only businesses from out of town and the only business from South Florida. The New York forum presenters join 125 past Springboard presenters from Silicon Valley, the Mid-Atlantic and New England, who have raised over $400 million for their companies since January 2000. "The women chosen to present at 'Springboard 2001: New York' represent the next wave of successful entrepreneurs in this capital-rich city," said Kay Koplovitz, national host of the New York forum. "These forums provide women entrepreneurs with access to the 'who's who' within the investment community." Jaimee Wolf, Chief Executive Officer of Xicat Interactive, stated, "We are a young company with growing sales and a business plan that is very much on target. Since inception our only concern has been the availability of the right capital resources to make the company grow faster. I am amazed at the magnitude and professional development of the presenters at this conference and hope that we can portray the same enthusiasm when it is our turn to present."
