St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Lands #1 Spot Two Years In A Row In 2014 National Society Of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Annual Millennial Career Survey NSHSS Publishes 2014 Findings That Reflect Career Mindset of Millennials

ATLANTA, May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), an international organization dedicated to highlighting the accomplishments of students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment, published today the 2014 Annual Millennial Career Survey.  For the second year in a row, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the #1 company students want to work for. 

Now in its seventh year, the NSHSS Annual Career Survey reflects the preferences of high-achieving students in the areas of career choices, employers, workplace environment, technology, communications and educational goals.  This Survey uncovers career choices and workplace preferences of more than 12,000 high school students, college students, and young professionals.  The findings are used by companies and organizations around the world to gain better insights into the mindsets of millennials.

Students ranked their top 3 preferences from a list of more than 220 companies generated from Fortune's Top 100 Companies to Work For from 2012-2014; DiversityInc's list of top 50 companies to work for in 2012-2014; select companies from Fortune's Global 500; and write-in choices.  Health-related employers continue to rank highly, which mirrors their choice in majors, which include in order: medical and health-related fields, sciences, engineering/technology, business, and psychology.  Eighty-percent indicate they expect to attend graduate school, considering the following degree programs in order: medicine, engineering, business and law.
