The Games also bring direct economic, cultural, and social benefits to the host community of Sherbrooke, the Estrie region, and all of Canada.
As Minister of State (Sport), I would like to thank the Sherbrooke 2013 Canada Summer Games Host Society; the Canada Games Council; the municipalities of Sherbrooke, Magog, and Coaticook; the Province of Quebec; and the many partners and volunteers who have contributed to the success of this year's Canada Summer Games. I would also like to wish our young athletes and their coaches the very best of luck. I encourage you to make them most of this national sport event to demonstrate your talent and have some wonderful experiences.
