Storage Post's Baton Rouge storage facility is collecting food in partnership with area food bank

ATLANTA, Dec. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Storage Post Self Storage is working with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to collect non-perishable food for local, low-income residents of Baton Rouge and nearby parishes. Storage Post's storage facility, located on Tom Drive in Baton Rouge, will serve as a collection site for bagged, canned and boxed food donations.

Storage Post's collection drive will take place from December 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011. Citizens and Storage Post customers are urged to donate food items to provide much-needed nutrition to families and individuals in the area. In Louisiana, 20 percent of children consistently lack access to the nutrition needed for a healthy lifestyle.

Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank's mission is feed the hungry in Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes by providing food and educational outreach through faith-based and other community partners. Storage Post has joined the cause by hosting a food collection drive at its Baton Rouge storage facility.
