Streaming in HD with the Osprey 700e HD Capture Card
MARATHON, Fla., Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- Eyepartner Inc. has successfully utilized the Osprey video capture card from ViewCast to stream true HD at bitrates as low as 700 KBs. This card comes with features that distinguish it from many cards used for ingesting video into video editing systems or other applications such as accepting several source signals via SDI input.
As the Osprey 700e HD won several awards, including the Streaming Media's 2008 Readers Choice Award, TV Technology magazine's 2007 STAR Award and was featured in HD Video Pro magazine's February 2008 issue, there is no question that the industry is taking an interest in the potential for HD streaming.
Why the Osprey 700e?
It's simple to install and because we have the HD compatible software. The TikiLIVE broadcaster is able to broadcast in true 420p, 720p, 1080i as well as 1080p all at 30 to 60 frames per second. The amazing feature of the broadcaster is that it only requires a regular broadband connection to broadcast. A viewer can watch the broadcast via a flash based player from either a www.TikiLIVE.com solution or at www.BlinkoTV.com. Many other companies claim they can broadcast in true H.264 HD, but Eyepartner guarantees its software is the simplest and requires the most affordable supporting hardware.
Eyepartner has done away with proprietary hardware, such as bulky expensive encoders, and has made the solution completely software based which greatly reduces overhead cost. The only hardware required to broadcast with Eyepartner's HD broadcaster is a capture card, Dual Core(Quad Core PC required full 1080HD), a HD video source, and a broadband internet connection of 500Kbs to 1Mbs.
