Enrollment at tuition-free online public school still open to new students

PHOENIX, Aug. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For students enrolled in Insight Academy of Arizona (ISAZ), a public online school serving students in grades 7-12, going back to school on Aug. 4 might mean settling down at the computer in the kitchen or living room rather than figuring out a bus route or organizing their locker. But for many of these students, a distraction-free environment is just what they need to get back on track academically.

"We specialize in supporting students who have struggled academically, or need additional support," says Kelly Van Sande, Head of Insight Academy of Arizona. "Our unique social, emotional, and academic program provides targeted support to move all students toward graduation and their future goals."

Insight Academy of Arizona gives students the opportunity to learn both core subject areas and electives from state-certified, highly qualified teachers using the award-winning curriculum and tools provided by K¹².  Support staff, including advisors, counselors, and a social worker, provide additional social and emotional support through the use of a teen parenting class and support groups. These services provide a unique environment for students to thrive.

For students that want more face-to-face instruction or support, ISAZ also offers a variety of innovative "blended" learning opportunities at locations throughout Arizona. As an accredited and tuition-free school, Insight Academy of Arizona is available to students from across the state at no cost and graduates receive a high-school diploma.

ISAZ is still accepting students in grades 7-12 for this fall.  Interested parents are invited to attend online information sessions or one of the many in-person events being held in their community throughout the month. Upcoming events include:

Anthem Information Session: Noon-1 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2015, Starbucks 3640 W Anthem Way, Anthem

Tucson Information Session: 4-5 PM Thursday, August 6, 2015, 639 W. Ina Rd. Tucson
