NEW YORK, May 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Sukarman Sukamto is proud to announce the fifteenth reunion of his Cooper Union class. A graduate with a Master of Architecture degree from the school, Sukarman Sukamto credits Cooper Union with the success of his career today. "The connections that I made at Cooper Union definitely opened a lot of doors to me when I entered the professional world. My professors consisted of some of the best architecture minds in the city, and their recommendations got me into some great interviews," observed Sukarman Sukamto. It also helped that Cooper Union is famous for not charging tuition, allowing Sukarman Sukamto to get his start without the weight of loans pressing on him
Sukarman Sukamto doesn't have far to travel for this year's reunion. A resident of New York City, Sukarman Sukamto works as an architect and volunteers in his community. Sukarman Sukamto's wife, a New York City native and a pediatrician, will accompany him to the reunion. "It will be great to see my classmates," said Sukarman Sukamto, "and an opportunity to brag about my kids, which I love to do." Sukarman Sukamto has three children – two daughters and a son. Sukarman Sukamto's wife is also looking forward to meeting these people she has heard so much about.
The fifteenth reunion that Sukarman Sukamto has helped to plan will include small gatherings for the different concentration areas that graduated from Cooper Union that year. "There will be a lot of people here celebrating that I won't know," Sukarman Sukamto said. "I really only know the architects and a few of the engineers. Still, there is a broad sense of camaraderie among all Cooper Union students because we all understand how big the work load is, what a challenging institution we attended."
The Cooper Union reunion will take place June 1st to June 3rd on the Cooper Union campus. Sukarman Sukamto is one of the organizers for the event. "There will be some excellent speakers during the reunion," said Sukarman Sukamto. "The rest of the time will be mostly a series of cocktail parties. I'm sure it will be fun. We've put a lot of energy into this event, the other coordinators and I."
