Over the past 25 years, the Mason's have built an exciting world around their love for food, conceptualizing and launching iconic restaurants like Ketchum Grill, Enoteca Restaurant & Wine Bar, and Pizza Diavola, all thriving food enterprises in Sun Valley ID.
While building this food empire, the couple have also pursued their second love – travel, exploring exotic parts of globe. Now, the two are putting the passions together and inviting their friends to come along for the adventure!
Scott and Anne are excited to share the heartbeat of a region that everyone hears about, but many don't realize has been discovering its food "soul" in recent years and is becoming a culinary destination in its own right.

With the recent release of the cookbook, Jerusalem: A Cookbook, by Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi, there is a heightened awareness of the power of food to bring together different ethnic and religious groups. One of Mason's colleagues in the region, Chef Moshe Basson, is part of the organization, Chefs for Peace. His restaurant Eucalyptus near the Old City, is one of Scott and Anne's personal favorites and a special meal there will be a highlight of the trip.
Also on the menu, some of the most inspiring historical and geographical sites in the world – Masada, Petra, the Dead Sea, and holy sites in Jerusalem. The itinerary features time in the dynamic food marketplaces of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and visits to outstanding wineries throughout the country. One afternoon will be spent shopping the Mechane Yehuda market in Jerusalem with local food personality Chef Tali Friedmann, then preparing and eating Mediterranean dishes in her private studio above the market.
Over the course of the 12-day tour, the group will dine at award-winning restaurants such as Kitchen Market in Tel Aviv and Machneyuda in Jerusalem and go behind the scenes to meet the chefs and the markets sources for their innovative culinary delights. True to the Mason's personal vision, Scott says the tour will also include "some of the best 'street food' you'll ever have in your life!"
