SunEdison Interconnects 117 MW Of Utility-Scale Solar Projects In United Kingdom Establishes Strong Foothold in Growing U.K. Solar Market
BELMONT, Calif. and LONDON, May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SunEdison (NYSE: SUNE), a leading solar technology manufacturer and provider of solar energy services today announced it has completed construction of a 117 MW (megawatt) DC (direct current) portfolio of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants across the United Kingdom. The portfolio is comprised of eight separate solar power plants.

SunEdison recently signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft, a market leading purchaser of independently generated electricity in the U.K. Under the terms of the PPA, Statkraft will purchase the renewable energy generated from SunEdison's 88 MW DC portfolio of six utility-scale photovoltaic solar power plants currently under construction throughout the U.K.
