Super Educational Conference: HR Mixes It Up With Background Screeners

SAIPAN, Northern Mariana Islands, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Background Investigator presents the First National Super-conference for Employers, Human Resources and Security Professionals that Deal with Hiring and Due Diligence in Clearwater, Florida on November 8-11, 2009.

This will bring the latest legal developments, trends and best practices to employers, Human Resources and Security professionals that utilize background screening services or conduct their own programs in-house.

The two and a half day conference, part of a background screening super conference, will feature an All-Star panel of nationally known attorneys and leading industry experts and will be conducted simultaneously with the yearly Clearwater Conference for members of the background screening industry.

The first day will be devoted to cutting edge legal topics, featuring three nationally known attorneys and experts on screening, hiring and privacy. The session will be led by attorney Lester S. Rosen, author of two leading books on background checks and safe hiring, and president of a national screening firm, Employment Screening Resources.

Also presenting will be attorney Ron Brand, a partner with Fisher and Phillips, one of the country's preeminent management-side labor and employment law firms.

Reviewing privacy laws will be attorney Oscar Marquis from the nationally known firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair.

Day two of the conference will center on practical tools for employers, including The Legal and Practical Issues of obtaining and utilizing criminal records, and verification of past employments education.

Other experts will discuss Driving Records, Social Security Trace, Credit Reports, Workers' Compensation, Drug Testing, issues surrounding international screening, and lean cutting edge solutions to their hiring programs.

The third day will focus on bringing all of the sessions together with a negligent hiring mock trial and a 25 point self-assessment audit of a firm's current background screening and hiring procedures.

In addition, attendees will have a chance to meet with leading national employment screening solution providers at the Expo to be held in conjunction with the Conference.
