Suspect Detection Systems Submits bid to Federal Agency in Asia to Install Additional Cogito Interrogation Units

New Tender Follows Previous Tender and Sale of Cogito Units to the Agency Earlier in 2009; bid Includes Central Database and Management System in Addition to Automated Rapid Interrogation Units

NEW YORK, October 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (SDSS.OB), a leading developer of counter terror and crime prevention technology, today announced that the company has submitted a bid to sell additional Cogito(TM) rapid interrogation units to a federal agency in Asia. The bid follows a highly specific public tender for automated interrogation technology.

Suspect Detection Systems was already awarded a previous tender by the same federal agency earlier in 2009. The current tender follows the successful implementation of Cogito technology by agents in the field.

The current tender calls for three rapid interrogation units as well as a central data-collection server. Suspect Detection Systems' bid includes the company's proprietary Central Database and Management System (CDMS). CDMS stores and processes all data collected by each Cogito unit, controls and manages all Cogito units in real-time, and can analyze all collected biometric information and test results.

The previously installed Cogito units are being used by the federal agency to gather pre-crime and post-crime intelligence. The information collected during the interrogation of suspects is used to help solve crimes that have already been committed, as well as to help prevent potential crimes and terror attacks from taking place in the future.

The Cogito units sold to this federal agency can conduct interrogations in over forty regional dialects.

"Our customer's decision to issue a follow-up tender demonstrates the value of our proprietary Cogito system to law enforcement agencies," stated Shabtai Shoval, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems, Ltd. "It also emphasizes their need to upgrade to a full data-tracking system including a central database and control server."

"With Cogito's full-scale system law agencies can detect terrorists and criminals in real-time, identify organized crime associations, and review intelligence information," Shoval added.

About Suspect Detection Systems

Suspect Detection Systems Ltd. is a developer of proprietary counter terror and crime prevention technology designed to identify threats in real-time, and prevent incidents before they are carried out. The technology detects the hidden 'hostile intent' of assailants-before they commit their intended acts-with a remarkable degree of accuracy, and can similarly be used after a crime was committed to quickly identify criminals from among a pool of suspects. The system is also used by private enterprises to detect internal employee threats.
